Chapter 14
- Century long Portuguese made an effort to explore a sea route to the East,by creeping slowly down the West African coast, around the tip of South Africa,up the East African coast, and finally across the Indian Ocean to Calicut in southern India in 1498.
- That's when the Europeans were able to discover some type of interesting ancient and rich system that would work really well for trade and this route was able to go all the way from East Africa and end all the way in China.
- The Portuguese were aware of the outcome of where this type of system would land them but they would also be ignoring the way that the system would tend to work.
- Europeans wanted to hop into this business of the Indian Ocean Trade
- Fur Regions such as North America, Siberia,were affected by fur. The French were able to create a mutual trading relationship with North Americans and the Russians were able to create a relationship with Siberia.
